A lawyer from Pune, his name is Wajid Khan, he went to the Shivaji Nagar police station and told them to do something about Hardik. He said Hardik was dancing with his girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma, on the field and the flag was on his back and that is not respecting the flag properly. The match was in Ahmedabad, but the lawyer said he can file a complaint in Pune because the flag is for all of India.

So India played with New Zealand in the final match at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. And guess what? We won by 96 runs! It was so exciting. This is our third time winning the T20 World Cup; the first time was in 2007, then in 2024, and now in 2026. The police first told him the match happened in Ahmedabad, not Pune. But he said the flag is for everyone in India, so he can complain from anywhere. They took his complaint and gave him a paper copy. Now we have to wait and see what happens next.

The rule says if you show disrespect to the flag, you can go to jail for three years or have to pay a fine, or both!

But also I understand that the flag is very important and we have to be careful. My teacher said the flag is not just a piece of cloth; it represents all the soldiers who died for our country and all the people who love India. So we have to treat it with respect even when we are happy.
